Detail:

The impact of domestic abuse for children is recognised as a significant safeguarding risk, especially when other factors such as parental metal health and parental substance misuse are also issues.

This multi-agency training will help practitioners understand and identify domestic abuse, and explain the processes to assess and manage risk.

This half day session is aim to enhance Practitioners who need to be aware of the risks of Domestic Abuse and the impact on babies, children and young people within the home. For all professionals and volunteers who regularly work with families and children, and/or their parents/carers - or have a period of irregular but intense contact.

  • The role of the Family Justice Centre
  • Understanding the risk and impact on babies, children and Young people
  • Brief overview of Risk Identification Checklist and the MARAC (see separate training for more information)
