Essential in-person training course for all staff working with expecting parents and families with children aged 0-2 years. Improve your understanding of perinatal mental health and parent-infant relationships and their impact on families, and apply this practically to support families in Croydon.
Focus: knowledge & understanding of family approaches to perinatal and parental mental health difficulties and impact on parent & family function, parenting, parent-infant interaction, relationships anddevelopmental outcomes.
Learning outcomes:
(i) to improve practitioner knowledge & understanding of familyapproaches to perinatal and parental mental health
(ii) to understand the impact of low, medium & severe perinatal and parental mental health difficulties onparent & family function, parenting, parent-infant interaction, relationships and developmental outcomes
(iiI) to understand and manage risk in relation to perinatal mental health difficulties and
(iv) to understand and manage engagement with specialist PNMH and parental MH services.
