CSCP Safeguarding Children Level 2

This eLearning course is designed for professionals in Group B & C who work directly with children, young people, and families. It offers a comprehensive overview of child safeguarding, focusing on the identification of abuse, response protocols, and maintaining professional boundaries. Through interactive materials, case studies, and assessments, participants will strengthen their safeguarding knowledge and earn a certificate upon completion. This training is ideal for those looking to enhance their understanding and application of safeguarding practices in real-world settings.

Completion of CSCP Level 1 Safeguarding Children is required for this course, as Level 2 builds on that knowledge.

Professional Competency

• Record and share information about concerns.
• Use the Threshold Guidance to assess the needs of children and and their families.
• Collaborate to identify, assess, and meet the needs of children with safeguarding concerns, focusing on child-centered interventions and measurable outcomes.
• Understand the impact of parenting difficulties (e.g., domestic abuse, mental health, substance misuse, learning difficulties) on parenting capacity.
• Recognise the importance of family history and functioning.
• Work with children and families, addressing lack of cooperation and superficial compliance within the role.
